An overdose of what, exactly? I thought the drugs of choice back then were weed & LSD.
But anyway yeah, I stumbled upon this record (like most UK people) thanks to the internet. Before Internet, this was literally just an obscure vocal sample from the classic Mr Kirk's Nightmare (featured on 4 Hero - Combat Dancin').
Brilliant how the sample bridges two very distinct periods in time where parents were truly terrified of the direction their kids were going in. -
Really odd record, you have to wait til then end to hear the severe left turn that it takes and any raver that was around in 1992 will recognize the samples at the end, sampled in a bunch of rave tracks from that era. I might have to pick up out to play around old ravers that ears will wonder what is this shit? Until the end comes in and if they recognize the samples then they were truely raving at that time.

Very odd one hit wonder record that actually charted (#23 on Hot 100 in 1971). I guess this was supposed to teach kids not to overdose on drugs, but the spoken word acting is a very mixed bag by today's standards. Some people love it, and others really hate it. Very cool time capsule record.
