Although with DJ Premier, it's almost impossible to pick a favorite remix (let alone a favorite beat period!), along with the Nike 2004 "Classic" remix, I think this is my favorite, Primo is a legend, and my "fan favorite" beat he did is probably "Memory Lane" on Illmatic :) -

Awesome DJ Premier production on the remix with the signature bounce. If you appreciate the so called Golden era of hip hop check this out. -

The Nytime remix by Primo is undoubtedly up there as one of the best remixes in Hip Hop history IMHO. This is Primo without the overt jagged style, good use of Mister Mellow and the Kool chops compliment perfectly. Proof that sample sources don’t have to ultra rare private press stock owned by Keb Darge, Gregg Belson & future traders who DJ at bars. -

😳😲 I didn't realize that this version is clean/edited but I also saw it on Amazon.com -

Can someone please confirm.....Even though Premier's Mix is labeled as the Street Version, it's actually the clean edited version? -

The Primo remix... Perfection, this is how it should be done. Arguably his greatest remix.
