Expanded CD release Various - Virgin Front Line - Sounds Of Reality . . . . . .
-
This was a great introduction to the world of Virgin 'Front Line' reggae. All classic roots music with a dash of soul and funk thrown in for good measure (as was popular at the time). Pity it was never re-released on CD but you can find all the tracks on CD from the artists' albums. This is a step up from Bob Marley (i.e. commercial reggae for the masses) so do yourself a favour and check out the Front Line cds (that's if you can find them).

What a great album. This LP actually cost 69p in 1976.It was brought out for a concert at the Lyceum in the Strand. The only artists not to appear at the concert to my memory was I Roy and Keith Hudson. What a concert that was.

Track Two is Not U Roy on my copy but yet another track by The Gladiators -'Soul Rebel', from Trenchtown MixUp.
