Blue skies is dreamy. Those strings he brings in are deftly magnificent.

Drumz'95 seems to be the one people draw for first on the 12".
Not to take anything away from Drumz'95 but I never was a big fan of it. Drumz'95 has beautifully crafted breaks , it just rolls out and its also a great DJ tool but I found over the years that blue skies is here its at on this release.
Blue Skies is doc Scott at his best the break is very simple and minimal but I find this is the key to the tune , it does not take away from the beautiful pads and strings and booming sub bass that make me believe that I'm laying back on a deserted beach eating ice-cream.. "How do I have ice-cream on a deserted beach" I hear you ask? Well if you cant have ice cream in your fantasy what's the point in having it?

Drumz '95 is a bonefide drum & bass classic. Released at the dawn of the tech-step era, Doc Scott's break-switching-arrangement clearly influenced many future tracks, namely DJ Trace's seminal "Mutant Jazz" remix and Ed Rush's "Torque" album.

But what's so great about this tune? It's actually hard to put your finger on it; Many tracks have utilised those breaks both before and since, but Doc Scott's arrangement, the relentless breakbeats and thumping basslines compliment each other to the point of perfection; The end result: a hard-as-nails, dark, tech-step jungle drum and bass masterpiece!!!

Drumz 95'....what more can I say then, "DAMN THOSE BREAKS ARE SICK!" Doc really knows how to lay down the thick bass and chooped up gritty breaks that just make you want to move! This was one of my most sought after Metalheadz plates, and when I finally found it, I played it out EVERY TIME! I still do. I like to open with it, then drop it into Dillinja's MIGHTY ANTHEM "Angels Fell" (another Metalheadz release!). Big tune, and the original is SICK NASTY TOO! UGH!
