i’m surprised these have (relatively speaking) managed to stay so cheap compared to other full shows. always been one of my favorites and one i always return to. maybe it’s because blues for allah is a borderline prog album from the dead. who knows! the music is incredible.

Any more of the vinyl reissue getting pressed or are we just basically shit outta luck? -

One of my first GD boots, used to play the hell out of this! Great sound quality but doesn't approach the eventual official release of the broadcast or its source. jb

For those who have this digipak version - the pictures make it look as if the digipak may not be a standard size. Are the height and length of the digipak the same same as a standard jewel case, or different? Thank you

Kevin Gray is an absolute legend. If you're on the fence about picking this up, it's time to hop off. I can confidently recommend this release. Easily my best sounding live Dead LP. Plenty of 'they're here with me in the room' moments. Enjoy.

This thing sounds fantastic. My copy is virtually flawless which seems increasingly rare these days. Highly recommend.

Edited 2 years agoJust got a recent pressing of this from Light In the Attic. It sounds great! I've had this show on cd since the 90s and have listened to it countless times but always thought it was just ok. I preferred the other 75 shows and never really got why this one was so famous and widely bootlegged since long before the official release. Listening to these lps now, as cliched as it sounds, they just sound amazing. Everyone is right there in the mix, they all sound great but Jerry's tone and Keith's rhodes are sublime. You can tell they were having a great time. A couple of flips are a bummer (Eyes of the World > King Solomon and Crazy Fingers > The Other One in particular) but that is the price you pay for vinyl. Overall, highly recommended and I'm happy I finally shelled out for the lps. Finally, I am not a fan of the trifold...I find it's a pain in the ass to get discs 2 and 3 out. I don't have a better way to do it, I just don't like this way.

One of the OG bootlegs. My CD still sounds great all these years later. There's a reason this was the first vault release. If you're new to the Dead, this one will explain a lot. Jerry and the band are in peak form...
