This album and band so progressive and ahead of the time just mind blowing! Must have record in any punk related collection.

I got this years ago. Mine is listed here but no release year. It's the $8 made in with the original matrix / run-out etchings of the first stereo press. Wonder what year it came out? I bought it used in Olso, Norway around 2005.

Amazing album but I found surface scratches right out of the package (I bought it sealed). A few of those scratches were loud enough to take me out of the music sadly.

What a great pressing. I went in skeptical that a band like ROS would translate well to vinyl but I’m more than pleasantly surprised! One thing this pressing has going for it is a really deep bottom end sound which sets its off very nicely against Guy’s high vocal . It also really highlights the crisp guitar licks, esp on track #2.

Yes the spindle hole is very very tight.

This seems to be the End On End compilation and should not be here

Mine came with 2 side two labels, which is funny given the matrix message.

Sounds great to my ears ! Although i don't have an original pressing to compare.
I haven't seen anything printed on the sleeve or inner to indicate whether it's a 'Jason Ward : Mastering' .
My copy came with printed inner sleeve and a titled : "end on end" ; for the full album plus the 4 tracks from the " All Through a Life" single ... which is a great bonus !
My vinyl sounds clean and clear ,with no noticeable flaws.

Anyone have any thoughts on this pressing or know where it was pressed? Is this the same Jason Ward mastering?

Rites of Spring are an essential listen for anyone interested in a small lesson in rock history—it’s only 40 minutes too! This ill-fated band lasted for a few years but did much. It birthed emo with its melodramatism in lyrics and exaggerated vocal performances. It also gave way to several other famous bands, like Fugazi. I love everything about this record. I feel like I’m in a sweaty and dark club dancing my ass off to these jams. Not to mention the crowning final touch that is “End on End.” What a great way to wrap things up.

How does this reissue sound? It is good quality ?
