Edited 12 months agoLet me start by saying I own all the variants, even the original clear with black splatter (waited over 2 years to get my copy from the band) and this pressing has to be worst one yet. I opened my copy a year after it was released because I have a huge backlog and realized my copy has tons of imperfections. The vinyl is severely warped (I ordered 10 other newbury records along with this one, but this one was the only one with defects) and the way the edges were trimmed was not the same all the way around. One edge looks like the rest of my records, but on the opposite end, there is tons of pvc that’s untrimmed. The color is just a simple maroon color, but there’s tons of black specs all over the vinyl and looks unintentional. The record has these crater looking pockets all over making me thing this is an inferior copy that does affect the sound of the record. The thing that annoys me the most is the label on both sides of this vinyl are very off centered and just unpleasant to look at. Overall this copy has made me more vigilant about buying records online and will ensure to always check my sealed records once I get them in the mail. Stay away from this variant at all costs.

Great sound and mastering. Centre hole is wide but easily fixed with a clamp. More of a clear press, very very minor smoke. 5% surface area max.

Does anybody know about the possible represses people were talking about last year in the comments, please ?

Has anyone listened to any of the vinyl pressings? Pressing quality, sound? Thank you for your input

Edited 3 years agoCrazy how many people didn't care about these guys until well after this album. I selfishly hope they never repress this one, it's a neat 1st pressing to have. Listening to these guys since they released their S/T EP and it's been insane watching their rise to popularity. So proud.

Edited 4 years agoTo reiterate the below who already posted about this, Spiritbox has confirmed that this Self Titled EP will in fact be repressed. Right now they're working on finishing recording their debut album but they confirmed on reddit that the Self Titled will be repressed at some point this year and/or near future, so just hold on a little longer yall and don't give into these hundreds of dollar listings... unless you really want this specific variant then you do you. But for everyone else who don't have that kinda money, just hold out

The band has talked about possibly re-pressing this soon (early 2021) since they've signed with Rise Records.
