Spectral Voice – Eroded Corridors Of Unbeing

Someone paid $120 for this 3+ years ago so every now and then someone comes along trying to flip their used copy for the same amount which is just funny

An excellent album that can be turned on any day of the week and take your mind off worldly worries, plunging into the unknown abyss of hellish darkness and otherworldly entities. The Spectral Voice project as a creative unit is both close and far from Blood Incantation. Almost the same people play Death Metal by two different names, but if you get to the bottom of the material being played and listened to, then the vector of creative thought carries these two names far enough to each other.

Spectral Voice's debut full-length work is quite meditative, but it is presented in a viscous, torturous atmosphere of hopelessness and agony. And when musicians break into speed from angular, rough, careless midtempo ages, it is generally akin to a kind of spiritual catharsis. The work is hard, the work is gloomy. The work is from a young team that splinters the attempts of many veterans to win over the audience with new opuses.

The album on vinyl makes a good impression, there is a heaviness and depth of sound, ambient ages and intense instrumental parts are organically intertwined in the mix. Vinyl is not played very cleanly, there is a little dirt from time to time and these are not sound effects, but these rare flaws do not spoil the impression, although the quality of the mass could be better. In of printing, everything could have been better too - the jacket is made quite original, the vinyl storage pocket has a slot closer to the fold, which is not very practical, part of the envelope with the cover is made of single thin cardboard, and the booklet is printed approximately at the level of a street newspaper. At the same time, the ideas for the design are beyond praise, but for a specific press it is made of cheap materials. Musical ideas, recording and mastering for vinyl deserve the highest praise, but the quality of the poligraphy and vinyl does not match to the level of the band and label, there is something to improve in the future. This copy will remain in my collection, but only until a fresh repress with the best material quality is made.

I believe this is the Gimme Metal vinyl subscription for the month of November. Sold out on the Gimme Metal site.

Does anybody knows which edition is this? It's not mentioned anywhere in the Dark Descent website and i cannot find any information about it.
