referencing After The Heat (LP, Album) sky 021
Just realised my Water cd edition juggles the order of the tracks from the orig LP, looked back and saw other cd editions did the same thing...I reprogrammed the play order to match the original and it makes SO much more sense to my ears! Eno at last becomes part of the machinery we've been hearing (B'dog) and then the final track... the sound of him happily drifting around in there perhaps? Played Curiosum straight afterwards to keep me in there a little longer... Aaaaah... -
Phew. Picked up a new copy that was likely sitting for a while. A good ultrasonic cleaning and it’s good. Much better than whoever is pressing Enzo’s modern stuff. -
I‘ve bought this new. This was really dirty when I‘ve opened it. After cleaning the record, Side 1 sounds really shitty with a lot of crackling, Side 2 is ok. I will get a different pressing, not satisfied. -
This CD sounds very, very good. Did they work from the master tapes?? -
On my copy, the A side sounds really shit, with cracklings, noises and distortions on many low frequencies, while B side sounds a whole lot better...

Vinyl was pretty dirty out of the sleeve but after a wash and brush it sounds great. The A side is slightly off-center. Normally I'd be pretty upset about that but the slight pitch waver kinda adds to the music in a cool way. If you're not into that then I would definitely find a different pressing. -
Odd? This re-issue has such different things said about it.There could not have been a huge amount pressed and yet such extreme differences in the packaging for instance.
My copy has a thick cardboard cover.The record itself is 180g,flat and very quiet.I must be lucky. -
Sounds just fine. One big pop in side one. The record is heavy. Some one said the cover is flimsy. Mine is heavy cardboard , tipped on . Usually 4 Men with Beards sucks. But this just fine. -
