This 24-bit remaster sounds amazingly good for a live album. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with, andi it sounds better the louder it's played ;) . Easily one of the best live albums ever, right up there with Peter Frampton, Deep Purple, etc.

This really is one of the great rock & roll live albums. "Hello There", "Need Your Love", "Ain't That A Shame", "I Want You To Want Me", and "Surrender" are the highlights, but the whole record brims with energy and vitality. The audience is almost another member of the band, at times shrieking so loud you'd think it was Beatlemania all over again. The live recording has a bit of an echo, but I can't decide whether it enhances or detracts...it gives the band a bigger and more muscular sound, so I don't mind it. This pressing sounds good, plenty of low end, guitars, drums and vocals are clear and punchy, soundstage is wide and immersive. My copy has a skip at the very end of "Need Your Love" but otherwise plays though nicely with light surface noise at times.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the definitive live rock album from the 70's. This pressing sounds amazing for an OG version.
