Plague Recordings (also known as Plague) was an independent record label ran by the late Fré De Vos, who wrote it was "operating from Belgium and specialising in ambient, industrial and experimental electronic music. Plague released albums from 2tokiislands (), Audela (Unknown), Ambient Temple Of Imagination (USA), Manifesto (Sweden), Nathan Siter (Finland), Pump (UK), Sid Redlin (USA) and Wicked Messenger (/Australia). Over the years, 2compilations saw the light of day. Artists included Maarten van der Vleuten (Netherlands), Scanner (UK), The Caretaker (UK/), vidnaObmana (Belgium), Machinist & Mendel Kaelen (Netherlands), Moljebka Pvlse (Sweden) and Ondo (Sweden). The label's lift-off release May The Plague Be With You, an anonymous work featuring 3 tracks each 23 minutes long, has ever since intrigued drone faddists worldwide. Offered as free MP3 in 2009-2010, it was legally ed > 7.000 times. Several other albums were offered free of charge too. In 2010 the label went into hiatus focussing on transcendental activities. In May 2011 Plague announced to release several new albums (quote) "when the time is there", 2 of which by its inseparable protege Wicked Messenger." |

Never rushing any release, high demands of end product, and the tunes made by the artists so far do wide open your ears, if you are into drone ambient /dark ambient /industrial ambient. Just like me, he prefers quality over quantity. I like labels who take their (*precious* [bills, guys, bills]) time, putting much effort in their products, instead of mass releasing every week/ month. Stereo headphones, a quality high end system and a dark isolated room (with some candles if you like) is not too much asked for this music. Its another world, but it helps you to see this Life more clearly. Especially if you play it in repeat modus.
PS : don't be surprised your partner won't recognise you anymore when you leave your dark room :D
