History:
1990: Die Gestalten agency founded by Andreas Peyerl and Robert Klanten.
1995: Richard Elpers.
In 2000, Die Gestalten began to design the artwork for several releases by the Frankfurt rock band Böhse Onkelz, directed by Markus Hollmann-Loges.
In 2006 the agency was brought into the publishing house and the Die Gestalten Verlag GmbH & Co. KG was founded.
2009: Hollmann-Loges and Peyerl left the company to founded the agency "Blitzen" and Klanten ran the publishing house alone.

Name meaning:
The name provides insight into their philosophy: and "die gestalten" is a German double meaning both
"the creatures" and "they create".
