In 1986, Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. formed subsidiary Sanyo Laser Products, Inc. to open a sister facility in Richmond, Indiana, a CD DVD Disc Replicator active 1987 to Jan. 26, 1995 and Jan 1, 2001 to April 2005.

- A t Venture between Sanyo-Verbatim CD Company and renaming of the plant from 27th January 1995, to Dec. 31, 2000. - The plant manager, Fred Austerman, bought the plant from Sanyo March 31, 2005 and named the new company Optical Disc Solutions Inc. a newly formed Richmond IN USA company.
- The plant closed when ODS Optical Disc Solutions (2) was sold to WTS Media (Wholesale Tape & Supply Co. Inc.) in May 2015 and production moved to Chattanooga TN.
