Profile:

American-European manufacturing and distributing combine, Interdisc represented in Europe several US labels, including Swingville.
The company, which was set up in fall 1959 and started operating in late January 1960, was in agreement with local distributors in individual European countries. In Interdisc lines were distributed by Fonogram, S.A.
Headed by Bluebell Record Germano Ruscitto, utilizing pressing facilities in Milan, via Settala 20; a branch in (Interdisc S.R.L. of Paris, 67 Blvd. de Clichy, Paris), to coordinate the company’s overall continental policy; as well a subsidiary organization in the UK (Interdisc Ltd., 20, Bolton Street, W.1., London).
With reference to the first phase of Interdisc's activity (1960-1961):
- releases usually feature, on the back cover, the statement: "Distributed in Europe by Interdisc";
- records manufactured in the UK may also have, on labels, the wording: “Produced in England by Interdisc".
In early 1962, as a consequence of an agreement between Interdisc and Fontana Records.
The records released after the agreement between Philips and Interdisc usually feature, on the back cover, the statement: Pacific Jazz] logo.
