Magnum

Dutch label specialized in CD-compilations from 1990 until 1997.

It was a t venture of Warner Music, Sony Music and Phonogram/Polydor. It was the counter part of the EVA label (a t venture of EMI, Virgin and BMG Ariola) that existed since the 80's.

Magnum's first release was the initial release of the Greatest Hits series, which was a follow up to the Now This Is Music series released by EVA during the 80's. Both EVA and Magnum have released volumes of the series over the years.

In 1997 both Magnum and EVA were dissolved. Starting 1998 the labels of the t ventures continued to work together on compiliation series, however from that moment on were released on their own labels.
