Electronica, noise, post-rock label based in Brighton, UK. FatCat was originally a record shop in the early '90s; when the shop was forced to close down in autumn 1997, owners One Little Indian to start up the label.

Well-known for what the label defined as several series of releases. These included, amongst others, the "7" Series", "10" Series", "12" Series", "Splinter Series", "Remix Series", "E-RMX Series". (A full break-down can be seen on the 'Fat Cat Records discography' Wikipedia page.)

They also run a sublabel called 130701 (named after the date of its inception: 13 July 2001) for more instrumental orchestral-type releases.

    Sadly not a customer friendly record company. When my package arrived I had to pay customs fees (VAT). So I asked for a refund of the English VAT, but they refused to give it. Now I have paid VAT twice.
    Never gonna buy anything from them again.
