Edison Bell Winner

In January 1912, "The Winner" label came on the market produced by the Winner Record Syndicate, starting with a catalog number of 2000. They were pressed at the Edison Bell Works in London. In 1922 the label became just "Winner", and in March 1926 a new style label changed the name to "Edison Bell Winner". Manufacturer credit on the new labels was J. E. Hough Ltd., Edison Bell Works, London or Edison Bell, Limited, London. Also as "Edison Bell Winner Record"

In 1928 Edison Bell International, Ltd. was established which produced records for various markets in Europe and elsewhere.

In October 1933 the Edison Bell Winner label was acquired by the Decca Record Co., Ltd. which introduced a new series with a "W" prefix which ran from W.1 to W.166 in January 1935. This series ran concurrently with the original 2000 catalogue series which continued up to 5692 in January 1935. There were no further Edison Bell releases after January 1935 and the company was liquidated in March 1938.
