This page catalogs counterfeit editions of releases originally on 99 Records (2).
Several 99 titles have been counterfeited, and are often mis-sold as genuine copies.

Unofficial copies commonly share some or all of the following characteristics:
- No Masterdisk or Europadisk stamps in runouts
- missing copyright text on labels
- thin/standard card sleeves as opposed to the heavy cardstock of original titles
- the '99' logo on sleeves and labels is often slightly "off", notably the circles within the 9's which are larger than on genuine copies [see comparison image]
- colors on labels fade slightly toward the edges
