Uruguayan label, based in Montevideo, It started 1944 pressing 10'' Shellacs. "Son d'Or" (Golden sound) was the name used in first years.
In 1947 they were the first South American label releasing a 45 rpm single, and in 1960 the first stereo recording in Uruguay.
In late 70s-80s they incorporated other Uruguayan smaller labels/companies as American Products S.A. (APSA).
