Profile:	UK based record label, short for Barely Breaking Even. (NB: The label had an association with the German label BBE Records for previous parent label.) The label was founded in 1996 by J Jazz: Deep Modern Jazz From Japan" and beyond – featuring a huge number of collections in jazz, soul, hip-hop, r'n'b, house, drum'n'bass, et al. Releases have featured a diverse range of artists, both on compilation duties and original releases, including Roy Ayers, amongst a great many others.

Some of the best albums & compilations were released through BBE... Too many to mention, but overall BBE is a good label!
