HR Giger

Hans Rudolf 'Ruedi' Giger was born in Chur, Grisons Canton, Switzerland, February 5, 1940. He died on May 12, 2014 after a fall.

Giger was a Swiss surrealist painter, best known for his creature design on the 1979 film Alien as well as album artwork for the likes of Jonathan Davis.

His work is on permanent display at the HR Giger Museum in Gruyères, Switzerland.
