Jackie Jackson (3)

Born March 1947. House bassist for Treasure Isle (Tommy McCook & the Supersonics), member of the Dynamites, Crystalites, and various All-Star studio bands as well as numerous other producers from the late 1960s to the early-mid 1970s. Started on piano at age 11 then took up bass. Played with Ty and the Titans at 16 and The Cavaliers at 19 (live), and Treasure Isle (studio) at 21. Member of Toots & the Maytals (studio and live band) from 1967 until 2020. Also toured with Tommy McCook and John Holt. Featured in The Harder They Come (film). Foreign sessions include Paul Simon and Herbie Mann. Was married to Karen Smith until her death in 2021.
