Alpha Boys Band

Jamaican performance group created by Alpha Boys School, a vocational school in Kingston, Jamaica for young men that has been operated by the Roman Catholic Sisters of Mercy since 1880. Founded in 1892 as a drum & fife band, it later became a brass band. The band & the music program at Alpha has graduated many of Jamaica's most accomplished musicians and vocalists in jazz, ska and reggae music.
