Shelly Lee Alley

Born: July 6, 1894 Died: June 1, 1964 NorthWest Western Swing Music Society (1995) Western Swing Society Hall of Fame (1994) Shelley Lee Alley was born on his father's ranch in Alleyton, Texas. Written his first song by the time he was all of six years old. One of the first pioneers of radio entertainment: he broadcast the first program over radio station WFAA out of Dallas, Texas. A prolific songwriter and had recorded many of his own compositions
