Alan Stringer

British classical trumpeter, and teacher. Born 8 December 1928 in Ancoats Hospital, Manchester, England - Died 8 September 2012 in Nerac, Lot-et-Garonne, .
He started as a cornetist and at the age of sixteen, he played Principal Cornet of the Royal Northern College Of Music. After retirement he moved to and lived in Nerac, between Bordeaux and Toulouse. He was a MBE recipient.
