Kaleidoscope (5)
Profile: |
Multinational Latin garage rock & psychedelic fuzz pop band. Though Kaleidoscope gigged a lot in Mexico City (and later Cuernavaca), none of them were actually from Mexico. Frank Tirado, of Puerto Rico, was on vocals and bass, Orly Vázquez, also of Puerto Rico, and Spanish transplant Pedrín García both commanded electric guitar. Rafael Cruz and Julio Arturo Fernández of the Dominican Republic handled drums and organ. They recorded their lone, untitled album in 1967 at Fabiola Studios in the Dominican Republic, but it wasn’t released until two years later by the Mexican label Orfeón. |
