Edited 8 months agoIf you are looking to get into Lammergeyer and not sure which album to get. This is one of my favorites. There is a mysticism in here that is very intriguing. The background sort of sounds like a field or a bend with the water near in the distance but don't think this is field recording. It just has a distance to it and its remote but not icey or in a city atmosphere. Just to give you an idea of the timbre and colors. Something melodic seems to be going on all the time. Strings, a dissonance, a shimmering ring out, a phazed out tone, layered synths. I think I have 7 of the 8 or so Lammergeyer cds. 'Threshold' and ' Headland' are beautiful examples. The voice and melodies in 'Horizon' are magical. Blue Oasis is a very moving piece of music. Sounds as if you discovered a new realm...
