It gets Italo by the origin, musically this is completely New Wave.
Average release, what the hype is all about!
Ah, yes - you usually rate the price and not the music - I forgot.
No forgiveness! -

Edited 8 years agoI rarely judge this quickly, but these are probably some of the best Italo-Disco tracks I have ever heard!!! In my top 5 favs.
The Instrumentation is beautiful. The vocals are so intense and well done (albeit quite weird too), that when he hits the word "sky" in part of the chorus line it just makes my heart jump. Definitely some of my favourite vocals on any Italo-Disco record. Not only is side A absolutely breathtaking, but side B is very good too. The two sides vary quite a lot. Side A is very uplifting sounding, while side B is much darker. Both do a fantastic job of conveying their moods. Not only that, but the lyrics (ittedly hard to understand at a few points) seem to be unusually creative too (considering that Italo-Disco is not known for it's great lyrics). When it comes to sound, Side A is the winner for me, but when it comes to apparent subject matter, side B is just totally insane and fantastically strange. This whole record is very unusual for what it is and just in general too. Even the cover art is incredibly bizarre. I love the drawings. They are so complex and creative. There is something special and very unique about the label this is on and it's associated labels and certain records have this magical sound to them that I have rarely found from anywhere else, but for me Never Dreaming Man beats everything else on Videoradio, Videostar, and Disco In collectively. It is at the very center of that "magical sound" to me. It is a masterpiece in my opinion and without a doubt deserves as much praise as it can get. This record very much deserves a good reissue.
