Edited one year agoLike the comment below points out, 1998 is the copyright year printed on the back of the sleeve. Does anyone know if the UK vinyl release was delayed? It seems odd, not to say unbelievable, that an album released in July 1997 would have a 1998 copyright date.
I found an old promo poster that mentions the album will be available on CD, LP and cassette in late July 1997, but it’s an American poster so I guess that’s just for the US pressing. On a sidenote it also mentions a Delicious 7” on green vinyl and that one seems to never have been released. -

My copy has a lot of crackle right off the top of side one, sadly, even after using a Zerostat. Crackle is audible throughout quiet parts on both LPs and I noticed some pops on side two as well. I wish I'd played this before getting rid of the store receipt. Pretty disappointing compared to my other MOV pressings. -

I have an original that was mint before I dropped it on the spindle while flipping. Gash right in center Future Boy.
This pressing makes me want to puke less than before.

A shame they went with the cd cover for this reissue, it doesn't look especially sharp or clear. The original has printed inners which have been foregone in place of plain inners and an insert, another bad decision. Still, nice for this to be available on vinyl for a reasonable price and good sound according to the reviews. -

Received the MOV reissue today from jpc.de. This has the flimsiest cover I have ever seen on such a pricey record like that.
No surprise the cover has corner dings and bends like shit. I can't believe they didn't do a better job with this classic album. Just compare it with the Happy Days reissue from last year or the previous CW issues on MOV to know how it could be. -

This is such an under-rated album. It has some excellent tracks - just can't understand how CW didn't make it big! -

Because on the back of the numbered release below the text start with year 1997 and continue to mention that the copyright is 1998 for Catherine Wheel and for the record company.
Despite the unsharp picture, the pattern of the text is exactly the same as what I see...
